Brimketill is a round pool worn into the lava shelf on the south coast of Reykjanes, where the Atlantic waves surge in and pour back out. A viewing platform lets you watch the sea crash over the rocks.
In folk tales it was the bathing pool of a troll woman named Oddný. Stay on the platform, as the waves can wash far over the rocks. From the hotel it is about 30 minutes by car, an easy stop on a drive around the peninsula.
